Our Plan in 60 Seconds

A Closer Look at the Credit Card Consolidation Process

Step 1: Credit Counseling

The first thing we do to get you back on track financially is set up a one-on-one credit counseling sessions with one of our Certified Credit Counselors.  We will then help you go through and analyze any patterns in your spending and saving to establish your current financial status.  This helps us to understand how you’re accumulating liabilities, and how you can move forward with a balanced budget.

Step 2: Create a Plan

Once we see if this is a good option for you, the next step is establishing a money management plan with your creditors.  We will work directly with your creditors and lower your interest rate to their pre-established industry guidelines.  This allows you to pay off your credit card on a fixed monthly schedule, making handling your finances after divorce a little less cumbersome.

Another way we make it easier for you is that you will only have to worry about one payment each month.  Instead of paying multiple creditors, you simply send us one payment each month, and we make sure your creditors are paid.  Most plans take 3 to 5 years to complete.

We close all credit cards at the befinning of the management program, and at the end your card liabilities are paid in full.

Step 3: Improve Your Finances

A management program allows you to do the following:

  • Save thousands of dollars
  • Lower your monthly payments
  • Lower or eliminate your interest rates
  • Stop your late fees or over the limit fees
  • Consolidate your credit card payments into one monthly payment
  • stop collection calls
  • avoid personal bankruptcy

Management Plans are regulated at the national level, and interest rate reductions are fixed.  Every dolloar that you pay to your creditors through a money management plan goes toward your credit card balance, this is NOT credit repair.  You pay your balances in full.
